Welcome to Pine Belt Therapy Services!

At Pine Belt, we understand that every child and family is unique, and so are their needs. Our goal is to provide compassionate, individualized occupational therapy that empowers children to thrive in their daily lives — whether at home, school, or in the community.

What Is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational therapy helps children develop the skills they need to succeed in daily life. This includes fine motor skills, sensory processing, feeding, coordination, balance, social skills, emotional regulation, and independence with routines such as dressing and hygiene. Using fun, play-based activities, therapy supports your child’s growth and confidence at home, school, and beyond.

Who Can Benefit from OT?

Children facing challenges with:

  • Fine motor skills (e.g., handwriting, using utensils, playing with toys)

  • Sensory processing (e.g., easily overwhelmed by or under-responsive to noise, touch, or movement)

  • Gross motor skills (e.g., running, jumping, climbing)

  • Self-care tasks (e.g., feeding, dressing, toileting)

  • Social interactions and communication

  • Emotional regulation and coping skills

  • Coordination and balance

  • Attention and focus during play or schoolwork

How We Help

Children learn best through play — which is why pediatric therapy is purely play-based. We use a child’s interests and needs to build functional independence through meaningful, engaging activities. We work closely with families to build skills that promote confidence, independence, and success in daily life. As a mobile provider, I bring therapy to wherever your family feels most comfortable and that best supports your child’s needs — whether that’s your home, school, or community setting.

Getting Started with Therapy

If you have concerns about your child’s development, the first step is often talking with their pediatrician. They can help you determine if a referral is appropriate — but in Tennessee, a referral is not required to begin occupational therapy services. Pine Belt Therapy Services is a direct access provider, so you’re also welcome to reach out to me directly.

If you're unsure whether your child's development is on track or could benefit from extra support, an evaluation can help provide clarity. If any areas of concern are identified, we’ll work together to create a personalized plan of care that targets your child’s specific needs and supports their growth.

Important Information About Payment

Pine Belt Therapy Services currently operates on a cash-pay basis only. This means we do not bill insurance. We are committed to transparency, and will provide you with a good faith estimate for therapy costs upfront so you can make informed decisions about your child’s care.

Not Ready for Therapy?

If you’re not ready to begin therapy but still want guidance, I offer online parent coaching sessions. These are one-on-one consultations designed to give you personalized strategies, tools, and support to help your child thrive. Whether you're looking for ideas, clarity, or just someone to talk things through, coaching can be a valuable first step.
